The predictability of the latency of the communication network is an important indicator for judging whether the communication system can guarantee the efficient transmission of data flow under a variety of uncertain conditions,and it is also an important reference standard for network planning and optimal configuration.With the development of network technology,traditional Ethernet has been unable to meet the demand for low-latency transmission.Time Sensitive Networking(TSN)not only meets the "low latency and high reliability" transmission characteristics required for industrial automation communications,it also avoids hardware compatibility issues,simplifies the deployment process,and reduces costs.However,the current research work related to the predictability of time-sensitive network latency is not in-depth.Therefore,this paper needs to conduct a comprehensive study of the predictability of TSN latency and its influencing factors through necessary theoretical calculations and data analysis.At present,the predictability analysis model of communication network latency is mostly based on the "Execution Time" of the data transmission task,that is,the data transmission latency in this article.In TSN,the best-case latency of data transmission can be considered a certain value,so the predictability is mainly affected by the worst-case latency.This paper compares and analyzes the definition of predictability,and takes the worst-case latency of time-sensitive networks as the key research object.First,it summarizes the relevant content of the network calculus theory,and analyzes the specific working principle of the TSN flow control mechanism,which lays the theoretical foundation for the subsequent construction of the TSN latency calculation model;at the same time,it discusses the industrial sensitive business classification standard and realizes the industrial data.The classification of tasks and TSN flow control mechanism ensures the feasibility of TSN application in industrial communication networks.secondly,it analyzes the TSN latency composition and combines the working principle of the flow control mechanism to build the worst-case latency calculation and calculation of TSN based on network calculus.Predictable model.Finally,this paper calculates the TSN single node and end-to-end worst-case latency and latency predictability through actual examples,discusses the latency predictability and the corresponding relationship between its influencing factors,and verifies The correctness of the time latency predictable model and the worst-case latency calculation model used in this paper and the applicability in engineering practice.The calculation results show that the configuration parameters of the flow control mechanism are significantly related to the TSN end-to-end worst-case latency and predictability.The research results of this paper provide a theoretical basis for analyzing the latency characteristics and predictability of time-sensitive networks.At the same time,the end-to-end worst-case latency and predictability of data can be used as a reference to optimize the network resource configuration of TSN.It provides a reference basis for network planning and reasonable allocation of network resources for TSN application scenarios,and promotes the deployment and application process of TSN technology in engineering practice.
