With the rapid development of mobile Internet, the update and iteration of applications(APP)has accelerated.Mobile application developers are facing the rapid development of the industry while under great competitive pressure. When the types and numbers of APPs gradually increase, their demand for APP interface naturally increases. In order to improve the competitiveness of APP,developers need to consider the development of application technology, product content and customer experience in the iterative optimization process. As a large category of applications indispensable for cell phone users,tool-based APP has not received enough attention to experience design because of its strong functionality. For tool-based APPs,there is an urgent need to establish a set of models to improve user experience to achieve iterative optimization design of tool-based APPs and achieve the goal of enhancing product competitiveness.Based on the project practice in Lenovo, the paper is formed after further research, design and verification. In this paper,tool-based APP was selected as the firstly research object by observing APP application market, and the systematic research on definition, classification, development, characteristics and strength of tool-based APP was carried out, describing that tool-based APP needs to have three characteristics of singularity, practicality and efficiency. The conclusion of the five qualities of professional and efficient core functions, irreplaceable advantages, diversified usage scenarios, hotspot capturing and continuous optimization of user experience is drawn for an excellent tool-based APP.After that,we analyzed the performance dimensions of UX theory in tool-based APP,and discussed UX theory in tool-based APP from three aspects: definition, content and evaluation. Then,by analyzing the optimization objectives and factors affecting user experience of tool-based APP,and further summarizing the user experience theory summarized in the previous paper,we proposed the P-AEC(optimization model of tool-based APP based on user experience),analyzed the user experience process in tool-based APP from four levels:the target layer, the efficacy layer, the communication layer on the product side, and the perception layer on the user side.It also analyzes the correlation between the user-side layer and the product-side layer, and proposes the optimization design route of tool-based APP based on P-AEC model. Finally,Lenovo Leyun,a tool-based app of cloud disk type, was selected to complete an iterative design based on the P-AEC model and the optimization design route: optimization goals were proposed from the target layer based on user data analysis, user interviews and competitor analysis, optimization of interaction flow, authorization page, newbie guidance and task mechanism were made in the efficacy layer, page visual revisions were made in the communication layer, and the finished iterative product was obtained through Comparison experiments were conducted to allow participants to measure the effectiveness of the Leyun iteration. The launch of P-AEC model is the result of combining user experience theory and market application practice, which is a process of theoretical concretization, and the birth of the finished iteration means that P-AEC model can not only be used to analyze the user experience of tool-based APP,but also be used to guide tool-based APP for specific optimization design, which provides a certain route reference for future improvement of tool-based APP.Through the comparative experimental measurement of the old and new versions of Lenovo Leyun. The effectiveness of the iterative effect is verified, and there are significant user experience improvements in authorization process, novice guidance, membership system and visual design.
