The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 makes many industries begin to adopt an online mode to experience and purchase products,which is also a new direction of sales model that current automotive industry explores.Taking AR live-action experience and personalized customization as innovation point and Volvo brand as virtual design object,this paper develops a kind of car purchase APP which can perform partly personalized customization online,and meanwhile studies the technological upgrade and functional design of cellphone application,so as to find more potential for development.This design report is mainly divided into three parts:market survey,theoretical research,and design and creation.Starting with survey on users'market demand,this paper analyzes the related data collected in the survey,and then finds that most users are interested in car personalized customization and new purchase experience.Also,it analyzes the design and functions of car purchase APP in the market,and investigates co-branded products launched by automobile enterprises at present.As for the theoretical research,this paper firstly summarizes the current situation of personalized customization,studies the commercial application of personalized customization,and elaborates the commercial effect of co-branding.Then it investigates the research status of AR technology used in car show and cellphone application,and hopes that these studies on related technologies and application status could provide reference value and theoretical foundation for this paper.As for the design and creation,this paper displays 3D effect via AR technology to make users know vehicle models and vehicle conditions in a more intuitive way.Moreover,when designing APP,it attempts to realize the personalized customization function for car decoration in a co-design manner,so as to satisfy the personalized car purchase demand of some users,improve users' car purchase experience,and thereby boost the sales of vehicle models with related brands.The conclusion part of this paper predicts that personalized customization is a new trend of future consumption,and the effect of product personalized customization can be presented directly and visually via APP designed with AR technology.Currently,although the application and research status of AR technology in relevant fields is at an early stage,AR technology has a good development prospect.Therefore,based on AR technology,this paper discusses its application effect in the field of car purchase via design of Volvo car purchase APP with personalized customization,thus hoping to offer the reference for related industries.
