The report of the 19 th National Congress of the CPC put forward the strategy of "Rural Revitalization".The document requires that the "three rural issues" should be taken as the key work of the overall situation.So,how to do a good job of "three rural" related reports,promote the revitalization of rural areas in an all-round way,has become a problem that the news media must think about.The report of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" in the central media "people's daily · new countryside" Weekly has a certain representativeness.The study of its successful experience has reference value for guiding the news media to better carry out the report of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers".This paper takes 876 reports on "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" of people's daily · new countryside weekly from 2018 to 2020 as the research object,and obtains the content distribution characteristics of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" of people's daily · new countryside weekly from the perspectives of the number,subject matter,theme,tendency,region and object of the reports.Then,with the help of Van Dijk's discourse analysis theory,from the perspective of text,context and rhetorical style of discourse,this paper sorts out and summarizes the characteristics of the reports on agriculture,rural areas and farmers in people's daily · new countryside.It is found that the reports of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" in people's daily · new countryside weekly mainly show three characteristics: first,they have unique characteristics in content distribution.The number of reports is large and shows a trend of first decreasing and then increasing.The main types of reports are special topics and communications.The theme of reports mainly focuses on industry and life.The tendency of reports is mostly positive.The coverage area focuses on the eastern region,and the overall coverage object is agriculture.Secondly,it has diversified features in discourse.On the one hand,positive and collective words are often used in discourse texts,and the sentence patterns are mainly declarative sentences,with interrogative sentences,exclamatory sentences and imperative sentences interspersed at the same time,which makes the sentence patterns diverse and stylistic.In argumentation,examples and theoretical proofs are often used to strengthen and persuade.On the other hand,in the discourse context,it shows the authority display of political power discourse,the scientific elaboration of intellectual elite discourse and the grounded expression of public discourse.Finally,there are many types of rhetorical styles.The use of various rhetorical devices,quotations and data not only highlights the objectivity and credibility of the text,but also reflects the vividness and grounding of the text.Under the comprehensive effect of the above characteristics,it has formed a unique style of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" reported by people's daily · new countryside weekly.At the same time,the research results show that the characteristics of the reports on agriculture,rural areas and farmers in the people's daily · new countryside weekly are mainly affected by economic,political and media factors.At the same time,there are also some problems,such as the unbalanced content of the reports,the weakening of farmers' discourse power,and the single presentation form.Then,the paper summarizes the targeted strategies.For example,the optimization of the content of the report,the correction of the objects of the report,and the diversified presentation of the discourse text can provide reference for other media to do a good job in reporting on "agriculture,rural areas and farmers".
