people have gradually developed the habit of fragmented reading in Internet Age,and short videos have gradually become the main form of content transmission for people in various fields due to their short and sharp characteristics.Relying on its huge user market,short beauty videos have a lot of room for development.According to a report released by Cassdata.com,the ratio of male to female users on the Douyin platform is 4:6.Among them,beauty “bloggers” have outstanding performance,and more than half of users are still in the stage of “increasing fans”.At present,Douyin has become the top domestic short video social platform with a daily activity of 600 million,and it will inevitably become the main battlefield of beauty makeup from the media operation competition.Therefore,this article will take the Douyin as an example to conduct an in-depth study on the communication practice of beauty makeup on the platform.This article first introduces the development status,basic functions,and communication characteristics of the Douyin,focusing on the analysis of its beauty applications;secondly,it cuts into the four dimensions of communication subject,communication content,audience,and commercial realization,and combines typical cases.Carry out a targeted analysis to summarize its content production and operation characteristics;finally,this article analyzes the current problems of the Douyin beauty self-media,and proposes some improvements for reference from the self-media and platform.Solution: The platform needs to optimize the platform review function and strictly control the quality of short video content and products;the beauty media should innovate video content and promotion methods,and focus on fan experience;in addition,it is necessary to strengthen the media literacy of mass users and beauty bloggers.Promote the whole society to establish correct appearance values.
