Analysis And Research On The Present Situation Of Book Reviews Of Core Journals Of Editing And Publishing

A book review is a review of a book.As an important cultural means and way of academic exchange,it bears important responsibilities and is one of its core links in the publishing work.With the development of The Times,book review carriers in China are traditional paper media and electronic media.Among them,academic journal book reviews are separated from other types of book reviews because of their professional and academic attributes.Because of the particularity of the subject,the book review of the editorial and publishing academic journal not only plays a role in guiding the development of the subject,but also has a close relationship with the development of the publishing industry.Therefore,the selection of core journals of editing and publishing as the research object of academic journal book review not only has the representativeness and authority of the journal field,but also has the uniqueness of the integration of industry,education and research.The author chose the book editor core journals published 11(points belong to the CSSCI and Beijing university of Chinese core periodical particular overview),in October 2010 to September 2011,the full review published by 11 years as the research object,from the perspective of the literature citations,to review the form and the kernel(total quantity,periodicals,the author of the book reviews,and key words,the author of the works to review quotations,evaluated and evaluated,and review the fund support,center,and the influence of the book review)for data analysis and finishing.This paper mainly analyzes the existing problems of book reviews in core journals of editing and publishing,including the declining number of book reviews,unstable columns of book reviews,urgent need to improve the quality of book reviews,incomplete information of book reviews,single form of book reviews and insufficient influence of book reviews.By analyzing the causes of the problems,this paper guides the measures to establish and improve the sound development system of book reviews,and proposes specific solutions for the establishment of the system from the perspective of academic evaluation system,book review creation system and journal communication system,so as to help the sound development of the entire academic journal book reviews.
