Book review can be said to play a very important role in the development of modern publishing industry, so to study the relationship between book review and time, society, culture and science, investigate on the ontology of book review and conclude the basic law of the emergence and development of book review have profound realistic significance.Thereinto, besides absorbing the skills of traditional book review, internet book review has also made lots of attempts with revolutionary significance, analyzing from which aspect, internet book review not only is different in media vehicles, but also has various changes in the way of creation, reading form, writer identity and system of work. It is exactly based on the above recognition that we should increase the attention on internet book review.In this paper, by information collection and analysis, the author finds that there is a lack of monograph on the research on internet book review, while the existing researches are mainly seen on different newspaper and magazines, and there are relatively few systemic researches. The author tries to start from the development venation of book review to lead up to the research of internet book review. After illustrating the development origin of book review and the general situation of development in different periods in China, the author analyzes the platform of printed book review and platform of internet book review in network era, emphasizes on analyzing the medium classification and column features of book review in network era, seeks the features of the communication of internet book review and the connotation behind them by discussing the changes in the value of book review brought by network, and explores the opportunities network brings to book critics by analyzing the predicament of the development of Chinese book critics. Furthermore, the author proposes corresponding countermeasures for the problems existing in the development of book review field currently. In the end, while looking ahead the development of internet book review, the author also expects more people to join in the research team to promote the healthy development of book review.
