The rise and widespread use of location media has not only changed people's lifestyles,but also rewritten the meaning of space.During travel,location media not only helps travelers familiarize themselves with the geographic location,but also helps them understand the information in the space.While eliminating strangeness,it also reshapes the way people interact with the city.While we are using location media tools,our behaviors have also changed in all aspects.As a common travel tool for modern people,how will location media affect the way we encounter the city? This article adopts the research method of in-depth interviews,taking travel activities as the starting point,trying to find answers from the interaction mechanism between people,media tools and urban space.The first chapter of this article outlines the evolution and characteristics of travel practice.Based on this,based on the existing urban research principles,combined with cultural geography and space research theories,the framework of this article is combed out,that is,from observation,experience,and practice.Research on this level to explore the influence of location media on the interaction between people and the city during travel.The second chapter of this article mainly discusses from the level of visual interaction.Location media has changed the way users view the city from three levels.Before entering the city,the rich and complex media information on the location media serves as a reading text to draw travelers' understanding and imagination of the unknown space,shaping the patterned travel trajectory;after entering the city,the location media encodes and guides the spatial symbols The subject's attention distribution affects the construction of its cognitive map;in the process of walking through the city,the individual's gaze on the urban landscape enters a cyclical process of interaction with the media,and the “visibility” of the technical arrangement becomes the observing of the city.The main path,in this whole process,the viewing activities of the city show the limitations of being constructed.The third chapter of this article discusses the influence of location media on the interaction between people and the city from the "experience" level.On the one hand,the tools and technical rationality guided by the location media have boosted the travel value of efficiency for travelers.Through precise time and route planning,the destination is highlighted,but the urban experience process is downplayed,which improves travel efficiency but reduces space.Perceived quality;on the other hand,location media also transcends physical distance while linking geographic space.Social applications such as location sharing and the use of shared maps present a "sense of coexistence" that compresses physical distance,and the online connection of locations A symbolic presence is realized and the user's sense of space experience is changed.The fourth chapter of this article explores the impact of location media on urban practices,including consumption practices and communication practices in travel.From the perspective of consumption practice,the manipulation of data and information in location media leads travelers' consumption choices to the "collusion" of business and media.Travelers' consumption choices and paths are organized by technology;from the perspective of social practice,in cities In the real space of travel,the tool performance of location media obstructs the interaction between people and reduces the interaction between travelers and locals,thus forming a kind of "alienation" relationship and thus diminishing the feeling of urban culture.Finally,this article reflects on the use of location media based on the findings from the interview.Although location media,as a technological tool,has changed the original way of interacting with the city to a large extent,and most users have clearly expressed their strong reliance on it,but some interviewees still show a certain sense of technical reflection,And adopted a personalized resistance strategy.In general,this article intends to explore the mode of interaction between people and the city under the influence of location media in travel practice,and examine the impact of the media on individual city perception from a practical level,as well as the resulting changes in the relationship between people and the city.On this basis,it is hoped that on the one hand,it can provide a certain reference for the reflection or correction of individual media use behavior,and on the other hand,it can provide a certain reference for the expression and writing of urban image,urban culture,and urban temperament in media use.
