The use of traditional Chinese medicine pharmacology to "appropriate medicine" for cultural relics is a hereditary and innovative attempt to protect cultural relics from pests and mildew, eliminating the use of toxic and harmful chemicals in the protection of cultural relics is also a good way to protect and utilize TCM.Chinese herbal oil is a kind of secondary metabolites of Chinese herbal plant tissue, which is a volatile oil liquid. It has great influence in medical treatment, health care, beauty, and other fields because of its biological activities such as insecticidal, bacteriostasis, disinfection and so on.Although many experts have made great achievements in the study of insecticidal and bacteriostasis of Chinese herbal oil,it is seldom used in the protection of cultural relics.Based on this, this paper systematically compared and studied 6 kinds of Chinese herbal essential oils screened out on the basis of previous studies. The results are as follows:1.Through visiting and investigating the preservation of wooden stele in the collection of Chongqing area.It was found that the main insect pests of the wooden plaques in the museum were termites,At the same time, the microorganism samples collected on the plaque were observed morphologically and identified by ITS,the main microbial infestations on the plaques in the collection were molds, including Aspergillus niger,Aspergillus flavus,Aspergillus versicolor,Aspergillus carneus,Aspergillus sydowi,Penicillium citreonigrum,Aspergillus Sclerotiorum, among them,Aspergillus is the main genus,Penicillium is the second.2.It was found that 6 Chinese herbal medicines such as Forsythiae, emona sessilifoli,Coptis chinensi,Cnidium monnieri and so on were more effective in the control of the above pests and mildew. The experiment showed that the antibacterial effect of the essential oil of Chinese herbal medicine on the fungi extracted from the plaque was as follows: Emona sessilifolia>Tripterygium wilfordii>Forsythiae>Coptis chinensi>Sophora flavescens>Cnidium monnieri;the effect of essential oil of Chinese herbal medicine on termites and killing termites was as follows:Forsythiae>Emona sessilifoliai > Sophora flavescens > Coptis chinensi > Cnidium monnieri >Tripterygium wilfordi.3.According to the above experiments,Forsythiae was selected as the essential oil to kill termites, and the optimal concentration was 0.67g/ L.The essential oil for inhibiting mold(Aspergillus variegata)was Emona sessilifolia, and the optimum concentration was 1.39g/ L.The results of this study further confirmed that Chinese herbal medicine has important practical value in insecticidal and bacteriostasis of cultural relics and has great potential for research and development. At the same time,it also provides theoretical support for the development of new antiques protection medicine.
