The performance of radar requires much effort in multiple applications of radar technology with the scientific progress and era development,such as ballistic missile detection and tracking,early-warning aircraft,and space debris with correct imaging aspects,which acts as one of the hotpot research directions in the radar field.Among them,broadband radar is a low-cost investment for manpower and financial resources,which can obtain more parameters information including the existence and position of the target as well as characteristics.Therefore,how to utilize broadband radar defense for highspeed motion target detection has become an important research concern in radar technology.The existing broadband radar is usually equipped with corresponding radar echo simulators to provide test signals.The application of echo simulators could reduce the development time of radar systems,save research costs and extend the service life of equipment,which are in favor of reducing the costs of research,debugging,and maintaining radar systems comprehensively and effectively.In summary,designing and implementing a broadband high-speed target echo simulation system has great significance to promote the defensive detection capability of wideband radar to the highspeed moving targets.Based on the master's graduation thesis,my dissertation is set in FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)as implementation model,signal processing board as debugging platform,and the design and implementation of the broadband and high-speed target echo simulation system as the target,finally fulfilling the echo simulation of the broadband and high-speed target.The main work and innovation points are as follows:1.The dissertation firstly described the basic definition of broadband radar.We further simulated the broadband radar equation and the common broadband radar transmitting signal.According to the multi-scatter center theory,the echo model and the distance walking phenomenon of a broadband high-speed moving target was demonstrated and analyzed;2.The total design scheme of used communication interfaces including ADC(analog to digital converter),DAC(digital-to-digital converter),PCIe(PCI express),and digital channelization technology,and multiphase parallel data processing technology were designed and implemented;3.Broadband signal channel technology was firstly split into multiple narrowband channels.We performed multi-objective decay for each sub-channel according to the characteristics of broadband high-speed target echo.The modulation of frequency and amplitude would realize the distance simulation,velocity simulation,and amplitude simulation of the target.After the completed modulation,the sub-channel was synthesized into a one-way channel.The design of the module for achieving target simulation can be realized via the completion of scattering point distribution.Meanwhile,we expanded the echo pulse compression and verify the multiple scattering center features;4.We debugged the design signal processing board and then demonstrated the measured results in the system.
