The three-phase bridge driver integrated circuit contains three separate half-bridge gate driver circuits.It is a vital type of product in the field of Smart Power Integrated Circuit,and it is primarily used to power motors.SPI is a high-speed synchronous serial bus with a simple protocol.By being integrated into the three-phase bridge driver integrated circuit,it can conduct configuration on dead time,as well as perform state monitoring and interruption,ensuring the reliability of the system.This paper focuses on the three-phase bridger driver integrated circuit with SPI.1.The three-phase bridge driver IC's overall structure is proposed.The charge pump circuit is adopted,per the sampling and control principles,to improve low voltage operation in the case of insufficient power supply voltage;at the same time,the versatility of the SPI interface is fully utilized.On the one hand,various types of protection circuits are determined for the potential failure faced by IC.The circuit is used to track the IC's all kinds of fault states.On the other hand,all the protection circuits involved can perform configurable control over the protection response when they confront fault states.The overall IC structure is defined by integrating the working principle of SPI and the threephase bridge driver.2.The key subcircuit design is based on a domestic 0.18 ?m BCD technology,including charge pump circuits,bandgap reference circuits,LDO circuits,gate driver circuits,various protection circuits,and SPI registers.The bandgap reference voltage is approximately 1.23 V,and the temperature drift coefficient is 16.52 ppm/°C.The lowvoltage LDO output is 5 V,with a load capacity of 12 m A.While the high voltage LDO output is 15 V,with a load capacity of 60 m A.The charge pump output is around 16 V,with a boost time of 1.2?4.4 ms and a clock frequency of 125 k Hz.3.A comprehensive simulation of the SPI three-phase bridge driver IC is carried out.The designed IC can operate on a power supply voltage of 10?45 V,with the gate driver source and sink current of around 500 m A,a minimum output voltage of 13.5 V,a typical output voltage value of 15 V,an adjustable dead time of 250 ns?8 ?s,and an adjustment accuracy of 250 ns.The over-temperature protection threshold is 150?,and the hysteresis is 25?.To fulfill expected requirements,the overcurrent protection threshold can be flexibly configured via peripheral devices,and desaturation detection and phase detection are enabled via SPI.
