With the continuous development of radar technology,its signal processing system need to be significantly improved on the complex algorithm,large computation,high-precision data and so on.Meanwhile,the integration and compatibility of radar processing module also require greater flexibility of signal processing system.In this dissertation,combined with a requirement of radar signal processing system in a practical engineering,a signal processing flow of multibeam radar is designed and implemented on the platform of TMS320C6678 DSP.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,the basic flow chart of multi-beam radar signal processing is presented,and the basic principle,including the digital beam formation,digital orthogonal demodulation,Pulse Compression of Linear Frequency Modulation signal and moving target detection,while the flow modules of multi-beam radar signal processing are simulated by MATLAB language.According to the frequency domain characteristics of radar composite signal,the system adopts mixing-free digital demodulation and digital mixing orthogonal demodulation for wide and narrow pulse respectively.Then,combined with the development environment,the PCIe interface technology and its starting approach in DSP are establised,and the PCIE communication between DSP and industrial control computer aswell as the gigabit network port with the upper computer software are debugged to reach the DSP data communication.Next,a multi-beam signal processing scheme by using seven-core DSP is designed.The center core0 coordinates core1-6 for signal processing and is responsible for transmit data.Core1-6finish their own task of separating wide pulse and narrow pulse,DDC,DBF,pulse compression and MTD for corresponding beam.Using different DDC methods for wide pulse and narrow pulse can reduce DDC filter order which saves system resource.Design storage space according to the need of signal processing.EDMA3 is used for transmitting data with external memory DDR3 and the transpose of matrix.At the same time,Cache consistency,IPC are studied.Finally,we realize the signal processing of multi beam radar on DSP and record the result.We compare the result from DSP with MATLAB,verifying the correctness of the system and the performance of the system.
