Design And Implementation Of IGCT Test System

Integrated Gate Commutated Thyristor(IGCT)is a new power device integrating gate commutated thyristor(GCT)and gate drive circuit,which has been used in high power fields such as wind power generation,power system and locomotive traction.Therefore,it is of great significance to study and improve IGCT test system for evaluating device performance and promoting device application.In this thesis,4.5kV/4kA IGCT is taken as the test target,the blocking characteristic tester is manufactured,the dynamic characteristic test circuit is designed and the test circuit is built.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:Firstly,determination of IGCT test system scheme.The operation principle of IGCT and the testing principle of static and dynamic characteristics are analyzed,the overall design scheme of IGCT test system is determined.Secondly,the design and implementation of blocking characteristic tester.According to the main design indexes of the tester,the design scheme of the blocking characteristic tester is made.The main test circuit and control circuit are designed,the two-stage overcurrent protection circuit and peak voltage and current holding circuit are analyzed emphatically,the main control circuit board is drawn.The real-time waveform display program is written by using Keil5 and VGUS2020 configuration software,and successfully communicates with VGUS serial port screen.Lastly,a complete blocking characteristic tester is built,the experimental results show that the designed blocking characteristic tester can test the blocking characteristic of 4.5kV IGCT and display the test waveform in real time.Finally,the design and verification of dynamic characteristic test circuit.The main test circuit and capacitor voltage monitoring control circuit are designed,the working state of the clamp circuit is analyzed,and the simulation is carried out under the Candence-PSPICE software environment,and the test circuit is built for functional verification,the experimental results show that the designed dynamic characteristic test circuit can complete large current test.The upper computer of the test system is developed by LabVIEW2020 software,the functions of data waveform display,storage playback and data analysis and processing are realized.The research results have certain reference value for the development of IGCT test system.
