People's Daily Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization Analysis Of Rural Image Presentation

Since the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the rural revitalization strategy,China's rural construction has achieved remarkable results.Under the guidance of the rural revitalization strategy,villages have entered an important stage of decisive well-off society in an all-round way through concrete practice,and have embarked on a new journey of modernization.As a party newspaper,the image presented in the reports of People's Daily is the epitome of China's rural development,reflects the importance to the countryside,highlights the superiority of rural revitalization strategy,and has profound research value.As an important channel for the public to understand the external information,media image always affects the public cognition.Using Fairclough's three-dimensional discourse analysis framework,this paper analyzes the presentation process of the rural image of "thriving industries,collective wisdom,effective governance,civilized local customs and ecological livability" reported by People's Daily from three dimensions of text,discourse practice and social practice.Among them,the textual dimension takes words as the analysis element.People's Daily takes the process of the event as a noun and shows the specific link of rural construction by means of metaphor by establishing the meaning domain.The discourse practice dimension takes intertextuality as an analysis element and presents a profound and three-dimensional image of the countryside from the perspective of the dual connection of discourse description.The social practice dimension takes the economy,politics and media environment as the analysis elements,and highlights the orientation of the rural image.On the whole,the rural image presented by People's Daily helps to narrow the gap between the rigid media image and the rural reality,bridge the rural revitalization strategy and social cognition,and then establish a more reasonable policy system and institutional framework for the first stage of rural revitalization.We should form synergy among the media,national strategies and society,so as to provide reference for the second and third stages of rural revitalization strategy and better boost the new journey of modernization.
