General secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that museums are generally considered to be the important spiritual palace for the Chinese nation to protect and inherit human civilization.It is a bridge connecting the past,present and future,and plays a special role in promoting and promoting the exchange and mutual learning of human civilization in the world.The development of Museum in China has been more than 100 years.In recent years,China's museums have made new progress in the construction of venues,research on the protection of collections,exhibition and free opening,meeting the needs of the public and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.Chinese museums are not only regarded as the true preservers and real-time recorders of Chinese history,but also regarded by the contemporary Chinese people as the witnesses and participants in the struggle to realize the great prosperity and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.With the vigorous development of the museum industry,under the influence of national policies,people's needs,cultural support,local development and other factors,the number of local museums to display the culture with regional characteristics is increasing,and local museums have become an important carrier to show the culture with local characteristics.Local museums are mainly invested by the government.Due to the lack of research on the regional culture excavation,the different level of planners,and the lack of investment,the construction of local museums presents a state of intermingled good and bad.The one-sided display of local characteristics leads to the construction of local museums can not achieve the purpose of highlighting local culture.Yichang museum was completed and opened to the public in 2019,less than two years ago.The construction of the museum adopts a new concept,which is different from the previous construction of local museums.It presents the regional characteristics of Yichang area with new technical means.The major exhibitions in the museum contain the unique vitality of Yichang area,and the whole exhibition hall radiates a flexible atmosphere.But in the choice of specific content,there is a lack of in-depth thinking to a certain extent.This paper intends to cut in from the perspective of the museum,through a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the museum,objectively evaluate the Yichang museum's display of Yichang regional characteristics.It is mainly from the construction,exhibition,social education promotion and other aspects of Yichang museum to understand whether the exhibition of Yichang's regional characteristics is comprehensive and unique,and draw lessons from it,so as to provide case support for the construction and improvement of other local museums.It is intended to summarize a set of common ways to adapt to the development of local museums and contribute to the improvement of local museum construction,For the construction of local culture to create a good foundation.
