Study On The Regional Culture Of Exhibition For New Luoyang Museum

Luoyang is an important birthplace of Chinese civilization, and one of the nineancient capitals of China, Since Xia dynasty, there are13dynasties establishing theircapitals here, namely Shang, Zhou, West Zhou, East Zhou, East Han, North Wei, WestJin, Northern Wei, Sui, Tang, Later Liang, Later Tang Dynasty and Later Jin dynasties.And splendid cultures are sources and treasures for writing. In the past, we treatarchitectural creations form the perspective of historical themes, and always from thematerialized form surface to discover the laws so as to achieve the abstractre-appearance of some tangible cultural heritages. For this special city-Luoyang, if youdo not get rid of images in your mind like "courtyard-style","Tianyuandifang-style","Chinese traditional top roof "and other ordinary expression form and intend to explorethe deep cultural clues and system in the local culture, which will eventually lead toculturally expression losses of buildings upon local culture. Museums, as the carrier ofthe city history and culture, is the most clear building region to reflect the building’scultural characteristics, and its architectural design should fully reflect geographical andcultural characteristics and connotations. In the meanwhile, display and exhibition asthe most prominent functional characteristics of museums, in terms of display designforms, they should focus more on creating a regional culture atmosphere. How to shapemuseums’ cultural characters and maximize its distinctive characteristics of the culturalmatrix as well as putting in use a variety of techniques to meet people’ culturalexperiencing needs are important tasks for designers.This paper attempts to research and analyze New Museum of Luoyang as the object of study, architecture and exhibition design as a means of expression and carrierexplore design methods from a regional point of view, and then come to the author’ssummary of design concepts and design methods of the regional museum.
