In the past few decades,China has developed rapidly despite the incomplete economic system and legal system.After a lot of research on this phenomenon in academia,the widely accepted explanation is that in China,the informal system can play a role outside the formal system.China is influenced by traditional culture.The hometown has a strong culture.Hometown has a great influence on a person's thoughts and behaviors,and it occupies a special place in people's hearts.It makes people naturally have attached feelings to their hometown.This connection is called "hometown identity".With the increasing research on the heterogeneous characteristics of executives,this article attempts to explore whether the "hometown identity" of executives affects corporate social responsibility performance.Because hometown identification may touch the emotional expression of senior executives about their hometown,increase their caring for their hometown and create a better mentality for their hometown,so they will be more willing to assume social responsibilities.In addition,the media,as an important element of external supervision and a typical external institutional factor,will affect the role of senior management's hometown recognition in fulfilling corporate social responsibility.Based on the definition of basic concepts such as corporate social responsibility,senior management's hometown recognition and media supervision,and based on related theories,this paper analyzes the relationship between senior management's hometown recognition and corporate social responsibility,and introduces media supervision as a moderating variable.It further explores the moderating effect of media supervision on the relationship between senior executives' hometown recognition and corporate social responsibility.And draw the following two conclusions:(1)Senior management's hometown recognition has a significant positive impact on the performance of corporate social responsibility,and the higher the hometown recognition,the better the corporate social responsibility performance.(2)Media supervision has an inhibitory effect on the relationship between senior management's hometown recognition and corporate social responsibility.After media supervision,the impact of executive incentives on corporate social responsibility has been weakened,that is,with the strengthening of external media supervision,The positive role of senior executives' hometown recognition on the performance of corporate social responsibility has been weakening.From the perspective of the hometown identity of corporate executives,this article analyzes how hometown identity affects the company's performance level of social responsibility,and expands the research of interdisciplinary subjects such as psychology and finance.And based on the previous research,this article puts forward relevant suggestions,such as considering the factors of senior executives' hometown,and stimulating the senior executives to attach importance to corporate social responsibility and other policy recommendations.
