Since China's reform and opening up,the modernization process has developed rapidly,and a large number of multinational enterprises have been developed and expanded.But it is accompanied by the phenomenon that a large number of enterprises failed to fulfill social responsibility,resulting in the lack of responsibility events.This practice not only seriously threatens people's life quality,but also endangers the further development of China's market economy,and is not conducive to the development of enterprises themselves.As far as the multinational enterprises in our country are concerned,while perfecting the corporate governance structure,they can also maintain the reputation and image of the enterprises and enhance the transnational competitiveness of the companies.Based on this,in order to promote enterprises to better fulfill their social responsibilities,our government has enacted laws and regulations,hoping to supervise and intervene them through administrative means.However,Chinese economy is in the transition period,but the means of administrative intervention is not ideal.Through a series of research shows that corporate governance is an important support for the good operation of enterprises.At the same time,in turn,it will affect the business decision-making of enterprises,for the improvement of the level of enterprise management,the performance of social responsibility is very important.With the rapid development of the internet age,the media has increasingly become a tool for enterprise information transmission.The words and deeds of the enterprise will be quickly captured by the media,whether the enterprise performs social responsibility or evades social responsibility or even damages the social interests will be displayed in front of the public.Therefore,the importance of the media can be seen.In other words,the media as an important means of external governance,has become an important factor driving the implementation of corporate social responsibility.If enterprises want to fulfill their obligations of social responsibility,corporate governance alone is not enough,media attention to enterprises may be used as an external supplement.In this context,this paper discusses the impact of corporate governance on Chinese transnational corporations' social responsibility from the internal and external factors that affect the performance of corporate social responsibility.At the same time,the media attention is taken as the regulating variable,and the possible mechanism of action between the three is discussed,and it is hoped that through the help of internal and external mechanisms,effective recommendations will be made for enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities.This paper discusses the relationship among corporate social responsibility,corporate governance and media attention of multinational enterprises in China.This paper selects the 9-year data of listed companies of Chinese multinational enterprises as a sample to explore the impact of corporate governance on the performance of corporate social responsibility.Then the media attention is introduced into the study to analyze whether it will have an effect as a regulatory variable.The results are as follows:(1)the corporate governance structure of enterprises is more perfect,the better the effect of social responsibility performance.(2)If there is media attention,perfect corporate governance urges enterprises to fulfill their social responsibility effect is more obvious.Finally,based on the current situation of multinational enterprises in China and the conclusions of this paper,puts forward relevant suggestions:(1)Improve the law at the government level,establish relevant regulatory authorities,strengthen media guidance.(2)Strengthen the sense of social responsibility and improve corporate governance with the help of media attention.(3)Maintain a neutral position at the media level,strengthen supervision.
