With the acceleration of commercialization of 5G,the demand for 5G base station antennas is becoming more and more urgent.Massive MIMO,the basic technology of 5G base station,needs the support of large-scale array antenna.Most of the antennas used in the existing mobile communication network are 2-channel linear array antenna or 8-channel antenna.Therefore,the development of new antennas supporting 5G communication needs great research significance and broad market prospects.After a thorough study of the basic principles of large-scale array antenna and a comparative analysis of existing antenna technologies,a 5G large-scale array antenna is designed and developed.The main work of this paper includes the following four aspects:(1)Design the layout scheme of 5G antenna,determine the basic form of the array according to the specified technical requirements,and complete the antenna layout.Array design and array spacing design.(2)Optimizing the coupling characteristics of array antenna to solve the problem of mutual coupling in dense array,analyzing the causes of mutual coupling,and putting forward two solutions: decoupling matching network and reverse coupling elimination module.(3)Antenna reliability optimization,analyzes the risk factors affecting the reliability,designs a reliability optimization scheme,and solves the reliability problem of the antenna by using new array elements,feeder network and connection components.(4)Antenna assembly and testing,according to the design of the 5G large-scale array antenna elements,matching network,feed network,and assembled into an antenna.The basic performance of the antenna is tested.At the same time,it solves the problem of adjusting weights encountered in the test,designs relevant technical equipment and improves the test scheme.The basic performance indexes of the 5G antenna designed in this paper can meet the design requirements through laboratory testing.The running test of the 5G experimental network proves that the 5G large-scale array antenna designed by the relevant scheme can meet the requirements of the existing network.
