Under the background of the age of intelligence media,along with the continuous innovation of media technology and communication technology,a new form of media communication-short video emerges at the historic moment and influences people's way of life.Faced with the impact brought by short videos on social media platforms,the state news agencies should explore the field of short video journalism if they want to continue to occupy the dominant position of media and consolidate their leading position of public opinion.Short video news is a new way of information transmission which integrates text,sound,picture,video and other audio-visual elements.It can bring new visual and auditory experience to users,and attract the attention of users' visual and auditory senses to a great extent in a short period of time,and improve the visual communication effect of short video news.Therefore,three different types of short video news,such as ordinary short video news on YouTube platform by four world news agencies(Xinhua News Agency,Associated Press,Reuters,Agence France-Presse),360-degree panoramic short video news and short video news unique to the client of Xinhua News Agency,are studied to explore its characteristics in the visual communication of short video news,as well as the influence of artificial intelligence technology,virtual reality technology and 5G communication technology on the visual communication of short video news.With the promotion of news media industry,national policy,media technology and so on,short video news has become a new way for news media to spread information.It is found that the visual communication of short video news of four world news agencies in the age of intellectual media has realized the mutual integration of "reproducing reality" and "virtual reality" and from "visual consumption" to "visual construction " and the transformation of visual information interaction mode and other aspects of visual communication changes.Secondly,through the analysis of specific cases of short video news visual index system,this paper summarizes the characteristics of short video news visual communication of four world news agencies.In addition,this paper analyzes the short video news visual communication effect of the four world news agencies from the perspective of users,discusses the problems existing in the short video news visual communication of the four world news agencies,and puts forward some improvement strategies.But at present,in the visual communication of short video news of four world news agencies,there are problems such as immersive experience,hard to distinguish between true and false;wide-visualization: form is greater than content;local picture is shown as a whole,and video picture is broken and distorted.Therefore,when developing short video news,news media should pay attention to visual expression,and excavate the value of short video news.Pay attention to the aesthetic of news picture,and avoid content homogenization,and use various media means to realize dynamic visual presentation.Broaden the visual expression form of news picture,and establish the visual design team of short video news.Enhance the visual communication ability of media team,and promote the visual communication and development of short video news.
