Analysis On The Reporting Framework Of China Foreign Trade Magazine (1992-2019)

In recent years,the overall situation of China's foreign trade is good,but it is also faced with a profound and complex international economic and trade market environment.While China's foreign trade has been constantly participating in the governance of the global economic and trade system and putting forward China's proposals,it has also experienced risks and challenges such as trade friction,economic crisis and threat theory.As a result,media coverage of foreign trade has become critical.Firstly,This paper takes the reports of China Foreign Trade magazine from 1992 to 2019 as the research object,and analyzes the contents of 1889 news reports.Categories are established from the five perspectives of report genre,report topic,report area,report perspective and news source,from the overall analysis,China Foreign Trade has the characteristics of news,communication,in-depth reporting genre,covering a wide range of topics,domestic reporting region,macro perspective,sources of news professionals and government.Secondly,this paper uses the "interpretation package" frame identification method to summarize the four theme frames in the report of China Foreign Trade,including the foreign trade current situation frame,the guidance frame,the advanced typical frame and the conflict frame.The proportion of foreign trade current situation frame is the largest and the proportion of conflict frame is the least.The characteristics of the reporting frame of China Foreign Trade changed in different stages from 1992 to 2019: the foreign trade status frame gradually became the core,the guidance frame closely followed the foreign trade situation,the advanced typical frame fell back,and the focus was on "people".Finally,the paper concludes that the report of China Foreign Trade has the characteristics of comprehensive and professional information,safeguarding national interests and outputting Chinese wisdom.At the same time,the foreign trade report has the problems of unbalanced medium perspective,"One Belt And One Road" background,insufficient coverage in African region and lack of international sources.
