Research On Network Opinion Evolution In Fragmented Information Environment

In recent years,with the rise of different types of social software such as Weibo,Twitter and Douyin,fragmented social networking has taken an important place in people's lives.Online public opinion communication has gradually replaced traditional public opinion communication and become an important media mode guided by the mainstream of the society.People need to break through the traditional research methods of public opinion and explore the internal mechanism and relevant laws of public opinion evolution from the perspective of fragmented information,which is of guiding significance to grasp the dynamics and laws of public opinion development and to respond to public opinions.Taking the development of public opinion during the COVID-19 epidemic as an example,this paper analyzes the phenomenon of network violence and public opinion distortion caused by the poor information quality and the outbreak of rumors during the spread of fragmented epidemic information,and also studies the influence of opinion leaders in the network.Based on the complex network,viewpoint dynamics,psychology and other relevant theories,the public opinion evolution of fragmented network communication is studied.The main research contents and conclusions are summarized as follows:In this paper,based on the classical Deffuant-Weisbuch model,the weighted value of the directed edge was added to construct the directed weighted network topology.By virtue of the degree of immunity to gossip information,the groups in the network were divided into immune groups and susceptible groups.Aiming at the two characteristics of fragmented information transmission,namely low information credibility and miscellaneous gossipy information,an evolution model of public opinion based on fragmented information transmission was established.Through the node centrality index,the opinion leader nodes in the BA scale-free network are identified,the characteristics of strong persuasion and strong opinion penetration ability of opinion leaders are quantified,and the mechanism of action in the opinion leader's opinion evolution is simulatedMATLAB2017b was used to carry out the simulation experiment.The results showed that the objective credibility of information was positively correlated with the convergence speed of views,which affected the overall judgment of netizens on the situation.Low credibility information catalyzed the skeptical attitude in the network.The opinions of Internet users are easily influenced by gossip information.The existence of gossip information slows down the convergence of opinions of the immune group,makes it difficult to express their own attitudes and positions,and causes distortion and deviation of public opinion,even leads to polarization of opinions on the Internet,and intensifies network violence.Opinion leaders have the ability to resist gossip and reverse the distortion of online public opinion.However,if the attitude of opinion leaders is too extreme,it will also cause the deterioration of public opinion environment.The research results are of certain significance for people to deeply understand the internal mechanism of the formation and evolution of opinions,and provide new ideas for us to further study the evolution of network public opinion under the mode of fragmented communication,and finally put forward some strategies to solve the distortion of public opinion.It has important theoretical value to guide and control the communication of public opinion.
