"Huawei",as China’s national brand going to the world, not only has to deal with traditional commercial competitions, but also with political struggles in the context of Sino-US trade frictions, which also brings new challenges to the development of the company.Focusing on the issue of "Huawei",the US media has conducted a lot of reports on "Huawei" in the past two years. This article selects the relevant reports on "Huawei" from the official websites of the New York Times and Fox News as samples.Based on the discourse analysis theories of Fairclough and Van Dick,it has conducted in-depth research from three aspects: discourse text analysis, discourse practice analysis, and social practice analysis. The study found that although the basic interests of both the "New York Times" and "Fox News" are the same as American media, there are obvious differences between the two in the process of constructing report discourse. The New York Times, which leans towards the Democratic Party, was able to report on "Huawei" incidents in the past two years from a relatively objective standpoint, and actively presented the attitude of all parties towards "Huawei".However,“Fox News,” which is inclined to the Republican Party, reported on “Huawei” with strong ideological discourse, and strengthened the legitimacy of US behavior and the negative image of “Huawei” by emphasizing the attitude of the US government. Therefore, both "Huawei" and other Chinese companies can grasp the characteristics of foreign media reports and find communication channels in differences in international communication.
