This article is divided into three important chapters to sino-us trade disputes under the background of the People's Daily media strategy,according to the process-event analysis model,divided the first stage of the sino-us trade dispute led a contest period,contradiction upgrade period,ice period of remission,escalation and agreement period five stages,in the context of rhetoric discourse framework of construction of social context and context of the discourse receiver on both sides of the interaction between individuals;Based on the quantitative data,this paper analyzes the main factors involved in the event reporting in the discourse under the macro level structure.This paper probes into the construction and presentation of discourse strategies in People's Daily's report on "sino-us trade dispute" in the context of discourse at the micro level.It focuses on the discourse analysis of People's Daily's report on china-us trade disputes.To reflect national ideology and guide social development is the power of discourse.And the will of these countries will be implemented into concrete policies,so as to realize the power of discourse.It also confirms the power of discourse and promotes the construction of discourse,which is the social practice of discourse.Through the discourse analysis of relevant communication texts of sino-us trade disputes in People's Daily and the connection with social practice of discourse,that is,corresponding to the discourse texts in People's Daily,the relationship between important development policies issued by the country and the investigation of the country's development intention and political will.Moreover,the social environment and power expression and reinforcement of the discourse construction are reflected in two dimensions: first,the response and counterattack to the provocative remarks of the United States;Second,we need to deepen opening-up in order to promote China's economic development.We need to do our own thing under external pressure,so as to demonstrate China's determination for development and build China's confidence.A good balance between the two can build China's confidence.On this basis,this paper also selects typical report samples from the nodes of sino-us trade friction from 2017 to 2019.On the basis of exploring the macro text structure in the report samples,this paper goes further into the internal discourse and makes a detailed analysis of the micro discourse structure and semantics,word selection and classification,metaphor,modality and intertextuality.This paper summarizes the discourse strategies of China's mainstream media represented by People's Daily and the relationship between the media and government officials,media and disputes.With the continuous evolution of dispute events,media discourse changes accordingly.As media journalists,government officials and experts and scholars are involved in media discourse,the overall role and influence of the three parties play a role in echoing,extending and interpreting the official discourse.In the evolution process of the whole dispute event,with the increasing involvement of Chinese authorities,the media discourse plays the function of supplementing,strengthening and repairing the reported dispute event.On the whole,the discourse strategy of mainstream media represented by People's Daily is to stick to the principle and the bottom line,not to fear the pressure,and to counter the pressure through the way of moral refutation,legal basis discussion and discourse transformation.In terms of policy and practice,China is committed to opening up to the outside world,keeping in line with international practices,and conveying to the public the discourse gist of sticking to its position,line and mission.
