This research takes the new mainstream media as the research object,adopts the case study method,and selects 6 public crisis events in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from 2015 to 2020 to conduct a descriptive analysis of multiple cases.Based on role theory and crisis communication theory,in view of the different phases of public crisis events,combined with specific cases,this paper systematically analyzes the role performance of the new mainstream media in public crisis communication,role anomie and other phenomena.And try to put forward the role specification path of the new mainstream media in the public crisis communication.This article constructs the role of the new mainstream media in public crisis communication as an early warning person before public crisis events;communicators,mobilizers,and supervisors in public crisis events;reflectors and image restorers after public crisis events.And on this basis,combined with specific cases to analyze the role of the new mainstream media in the public crisis communication.The study found that the new mainstream media in public crisis communication has role anomie phenomenon,which is mainly manifested as role absence,role offside and role mixing.These role anomie phenomena are affected by politics,economy,and the media themselves.On the basis of macro summary and micro analysis,this article further proposes the implementation path of role norms on the anomie performance and influencing factors of the new mainstream media,namely,improve the legal system for the regulation and protection of media roles role norms and protection;self-discipline of the role of the media;attach importance to "mutual norms" of the roles of the government,the public and the media.It is expected to provide a useful reference for the role specification of the new mainstream media in public crisis communication.
