Research On Shaolin Temple Archives Development Based On Humanistic GIS

The Shaolin Temple archives are authentic historical records of temple activities.However the digital management of archives has been relatively slow for a long time and the current borrowing of archives still follows the traditional model which makes it difficult to exert the authority of archives.Due to the obvious spatial characteristics of the Shaolin Temple archives the use of GIS to manage the Shaolin Temple archives is an innovation in the management of the temple.The most important of the Shaolin Temple archives are the physical archives and digital archives.Based on the interpretation of the content and value of the Shaolin Temple archives this article analyzes the organic relationship between the archives and uses GIS technology to study and utilize the spatial characteristics of the Shaolin Temple archives to make breakthroughs.The traditional archive development model realizes the mutual retrieval of cross-temple and transnational archives realizes the automation of archives management and improves the efficiency of archives management.This article summarizes the current situation of Shaolin Temple archives development and changes in demand.Starting from the relevant content of the Shaolin Temple archives it analyzes the spatial and associated characteristics of the Shaolin Temple archives and points out the data needed to manage the archives using GIS functions.
