Research On Space Reconstruction And Service Improvement Of University Library

The information revolution not only changed the way of life of modern people,but also brought unprecedented challenges to the library industry.The ubiquitous way of acquiring network information resources has greatly impacted the status of libraries as a documentation center.Changes in user needs in the new era require libraries to have comprehensive service functions.The expansion of digital collections has prompted libraries to reduce their physical collections.The reasons all require the library to rethink the physical space and rebuild the space.University libraries take college students as the main service body,and contemporary college students are more adaptable to obtain resources through the Internet,and the individual needs hope that university libraries can provide personalized services.As a training center for delivering talents to the society,university libraries must be at the forefront of the times in strategic development planning and their own development positioning.As a result,a spatial reform sweeping major university libraries at home and abroad kicked off.Domestic university libraries have also generally carried out space reconstruction,but there are blindly following the trend,lack of scientific planning and benefit testing.Are they suitable for space reconstruction? What kind of space to create? What is the sustainable benefit of space? To solve these problems,it is necessary to establish a scientific and standardized university library space reconstruction service evaluation system.Foreign space reconstruction started relatively early,and the research on its service evaluation system is relatively complete.However,domestic research on the space reconstruction evaluation system of university libraries has very few academic achievements,and there is still no recognized and universal evaluation system.Based on the research and practice of domestic and foreign documents and materials,this study sorts out the reasons,processes,types and characteristics of the space reconstruction of university libraries,summarizes the types of services provided by university libraries in various spaces,and extends various types of services.Based on the specific service items of the space service type,an evaluation system for the space reconstruction and service improvement of university libraries has been constructed.The group decision-making method of the analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weight of various indicators under the evaluation system.Taking the Zheng Zhou University Library as an example,the library users of the school are invited to participate in the questionnaire survey,and the final empirical analysis is completed by using data analysis software.The research results show that the current evaluation results of Zheng Zhou University Library's space reconstruction are good,but there are still various problems,which need to be adjusted in the next step.
