Research On Library Knowledge Function

Since the 1980 s,the theory of knowledge has been the keynote of basic theoretical research in the field of graphical intelligence,and research conducted with knowledge as the object not only reflects the deepening development of the theory,but also reflects the initiative of libraries to adapt to the knowledge society and meet the needs of the knowledge society,and these classical theories have important guiding significance for the research and application of library functions.The study of library knowledge functions is a functional study that takes the relevant theory of knowledge in the field of graphical information as its guiding ideology,with the aim of giving full play to library functions in the knowledge society and better realising the mission of libraries.This paper focuses on the basic knowledge functions of libraries,namely: knowledge collection function,knowledge organisation function and knowledge service function.The basic knowledge function is a process that all kinds of libraries must go through in their construction and operation,and the research on it is more universal.On the basis of understanding the current research on library functions at home and abroad,this paper discusses the role of knowledge and knowledge theory on library functions,and further develops the research on library knowledge functions.The concept,characteristics and types of knowledge are firstly elaborated,followed by the relationship between libraries and knowledge and the development and evolution of the theory of knowledge in the field of graphical information,and finally the basic knowledge functions of libraries are specifically studied from three perspectives respectively,with the theory of knowledge resources as the guide to explore the function of knowledge collection from the perspective of subjective and objective knowledge;the theory of knowledge organisation as the guide to explore the function of knowledge With the theory of knowledge exchange and the theory of knowledge service as guidance,the function of knowledge service is explored from the perspectives of knowledge education,knowledge transmission and development of knowledge resources.
