Research On Citation Characteristics Of Core Scholar Groups In The Field Of International Scientometrics

As an important branch of science,scientometrics plays an increasingly important role in scientific research,science and technology management,and science and technology policy.As the fundamental driving force for the development of the discipline,the importance of scholars in the field of scientometrics is self-evident,and their academic achievements have made significant contributions to the development of the discipline.Generally speaking,in the process of scientific research and creation,scholars will quote a certain amount of references.The references themselves contain important academic information.The references for studying the academic achievements of scholars in the field of scientometrics are scholars,institutions,and disciplines in the field.Effective ways in terms of development level.This paper uses the academic credit evaluation theory to screen out the core scholar groups in the field of international scientometrics(hereinafter referred to as the core scholar groups),and collects the reference information of the journal type publication data of the core scholar groups to deeply study their citation characteristics.This article mainly includes four parts:(1)Analyze the characteristics of the core scholar groups in terms of the number of citations and the time of citation,and summarize the causes of their characteristics.(2)Analyze the types of citations and source characteristics of the core scholars,understand the knowledge exchanges between the core scholars and other disciplines based on the source journals,works and other disciplines,and compare the citation characteristics of relevant domestic scholars in the above aspects,To make suggestions for domestic scholars.(3)Analyze the characteristics of the high-frequency citations of the core scholars,and analyze the themes,and explore the research hotspots of the core scholars.(4)Analyze the core scholars' preference for the cited scholars,and explore the characteristics of mutual citation and self-citation by constructing the core scholars' mutual citation matrix and calculating the core scholar's self-citation rate.The empirical results show that:(1)There is a relatively obvious positive correlation between the number of citations of core scholars and the publication time and length of the literature;they consider both new literature and classic literature when citing literature,while domestic scholars are more inclined to cite Newly published literature.(2)The core scholars have a wide range of citation sources.In addition to core journals in this field,they also cite a large number of internationally renowned journals such as Nature and Science and information science journals.They are frequently cited across disciplines and value knowledge exchange with other disciplines;The citations mainly come from the fields of graphic information and science,with fewer interdisciplinary citations,and the strength of interdisciplinary integration with other disciplines needs to be strengthened.(3)The core scholars' collective academic judgments on the research hotspots and high-impact literature in the field are very accurate.They can usually identify the academic value of high-impact literature at the early stage of publication and give them special attention;they attach importance to citation analysis and research evaluation Quantitative evaluation research focusing on factors such as qualitative research and influencing factors pays relatively little attention.(4)There is strong citation identification among core scholar groups.The density of mutual citation network among core scholar groups is high,and knowledge exchanges within the group are frequent.This close relationship greatly reduces the cost of knowledge innovation and promotes the healthy development of scientometrics.
