For a long time,under the influence of traditional Chinese ethics,women are always taking the role of the family instead of the society,serving the parents,caring for husbands,looking after the children and managing the housework are regarded as women's natural duty.As the dominant sex in society,men are more likely to be responsible for the social work and family livelihood.Therefore,men's control of economic power makes them occupy the dominant position in the family for a long time,and women become the appendages of men and families,losing their rights in politics,economy,social affairs and other.However,since the 19th century,with the popularization of women's education and the awakening of women's self-consciousness,women began to pursue freedom in many aspects,such as marriage,housework and work.They stood up and shoecked the "male superiority and female inferiority" traditional concepts.the Eastern Miscellany,as a representative comprehensive magazine published in Shanghai,paid a lot attention to women's career liberation.Eastern Miscellany has never been shy in praising professional women who have stepped out of their families and entered the society.Through pictures,text,text,it built female revolutionaries,women doctors,women factory,professional vase one different professional female characters.It fully expresses the conditions of job seeking,empowerment and obstacles to employment of professional women.It advocated equal rights between men and women and freedom of marriage,and encouraged women to achieve economic independence and seek independence of life through employment so as to get rid of their dependence on men.It effectively promoted the improvement of women's thoughts and status and opened their minds.However,the role construction of the Eastern Miscellany's professional women is undoubtedly subjective and one-sided.In the process of encouraging women to take office,it also questioned whether women's physiological characteristics were suitable for occupation,and expressed their worries and threats for women to engage in social occupation by denouncing the dressing style and life style of some "modern" professional women.In addition,although there are women for the Eastern Miscellany writing,writing the professional women's issues and to construct.But because of most of the women writers were under the influence of patriarchal context for a long time,they were still in the male discourse patterns.And they are still trying to patriarchal discourse system for professional women discourse structure.It certainly has subjective and time limitation.
