1911 Revolution period is a period that old and new ideas collide fiercely. There appeared an upsurge that women founded the newspapers and periodicals. They advocated the emancipation of women, propagated democratic revolution, played an important role in public opinion and effectively promoted the awakening of Chinese women at that time. Women's World was established by Ding Chuwo in Shanghai on January,1904,and became one of the longest and the most influenced female newspapers during the 1911 Revolution since it published. Women's World was known for promoting women's revolution, held gender equality, attacked the feudal ethical code, advocated political revolution and family revolution. The journal conformed to the trend of historical development .It not only learned the lessons of Hundred Days Reform of inspiration, but also did a good job of preparing public opinion for the 1911 Revolution .This paper considers the early 20th century women's periodicals - "Women's World" as the object of study, uses the theory and methods of history,women's studies and journalism, combines the historical background, analyzes and comments on the role of Women's World in modern China National-Democratic Movement and the modern women's liberation movement. The Women's World research the 1911 Revolution on the eve of China's modern context , as fully as possible attempts to show the profile of 1911 Revolution on the eve of women's awakening so as to deepen the understanding of Chinese women's emancipation by studying the Women's World'founded background, main content, impact and status and so on.This paper is divided into five parts with the introduction. Introduction mainly discusses current research situation and the research issues; the first part discusses the Women's World'basic situation from the background the publication founded, publishing and distribution, publication editors, authors and readers and so on; the second part mainly discusses the main content of the Women's World: revolution, anti-foot binding, advocating women's rights, setting up women studies; the third part mainly discusses the features and influence of the Women's World, as well as its limitations; the fourth part is conclusion.
