Research On The Paid Subscription Model Of Financial Times Digital News

With the advent of the Internet era,the Internet has commonly used in digital media.The trend of domestic and foreign news media for digitization,changing profit models,and implementing paid subscription model has attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad.However,there is a phenomenon of "getting together" in the research on the issue of paid subscription in Chinese academic circle.Most of scholars only focus on mass digital media,but ignoring the new trends of other types of digital media in news industry,resulting in lack of refined research of financial news paid subscription in academic community.This thesis is divided into three parts.The first part explores the development of paid subscription model.It mainly discusses the concept,classification and development of paid subscription model,introduces the development of digital media that America has played a leading role,and briefly describes the overview of the paid subscription model of financial media.The second part of this article starts from the development of the global paid subscription model,with the help of the successful typical cases of the Financial Times,and conducts an in-depth discussion from the four dimensions of the Financial Times: paid content,user analysis,pricing model,and promotion strategy,to study the breakthroughs in content,users,pricing,and promotion of the paid subscription model.The last part mainly analyzing the problems of Chinese financial media,as well as the lessons that can be learned from the successful cases of Financial Times,and proposing suggestions for existing problems.The conclusion of the thesis is mainly about the direction to the financial news.
