Growing green plants in living room is beneficial to our health.However,It is not so easy to make the plants flourish,and flowers blooming frequently.Environmental temperature,atmospheric moisture,sunny shining,and soil characteristic such as PH,elements for growing,etc.are all crucial to the plants growing.What ‘s more,different growing conditions are required for a plant at different vegetative periods.It is essential to take specific methods to grow plants according to the kind of the plants and its vegetative periods.Thus,intelligent robots with profound plants growing knowledge and abundant functions are essential for our modern lives.The focus of the thesis is on the problem of positioning of the intelligent service vehicle for plants growing and the problem of supplementary lighting plants.A combined positioning scheme for the intelligent vehicle is studied.A method to position with a specified marker based on the machine vision is proposed.The method is put forward because of the limited fixed range and amounts of road signs in the dead reckoning algorithm.Through the processing to the image captured with the camera,the marker's position on the vehicle can be determined,then the marker can be used as the road sign.The error of positioning can be calibrated at any position,which leads to the achievement of the aim of free positioning,and the successive serving lots of plants inside the room.The precision of the measured positioning is less than 1cm.Another research is on the supplementary lighting on the plants based on the intensity ratio of light sources with different wavelengths.The light sources are RGB-LEDs.The scheme is supposed as one led with multiple purposes.A specified lighting signal is called from the light intensity ratio library according to the received signal.The spectrum,and the intensity ratio of light sources can be adjusted automatically through three steady current circuits respectively in the light of the PWM duty cycles.The comparative experiments are conducted to find the effect of the lighting to the gemination of lettuce seeds.It is found that with the light intensity ratio of 2 to 1 for red to blue,the amounts of gemination for the lighting group is distinctly higher than another group lack of lighting.
