With the rapid development of Internet technology,archives are facing tremendous challenges.The traditional model of archives' service and management can hardly meet the needs of users in all aspects.However,the emergence of the information age has brought new development opportunities for archives and all walks of life.Each industry is no longer an independent individual.They are increasingly closely related.For the better development of them,they will seek a win-win way,which is called cooperation.But it is different from the previous cooperation model.It is a cross-border cooperation model that crosses boundaries,breaks the routine,and is mutually beneficial.Although archive is a place to preserve archives,it is far from enough.While strengthening its own functions,archives should also develop other functions to make them more valuable in future development.Starting from cross-border cooperation,this paper explores the means of strengthening the functions of archives.First of all,this paper makes a basic overview of the definition and application of cross-border cooperation and the concept of cross-border cooperation in archives,explores the significance of cross-border cooperation on archives from three aspects and analyzes the feasibility of it from four aspects.After analyzing the cooperation models by using relevant cases of cross-border cooperation of archives at home and board to explain,it raises the object and realization form of archives' cross-border cooperation.Finally,it proposes the ways to strengthen the archives' function based on cross-border cooperation from four aspects so that archives can give full play to their own value from multiple aspects.
