A Study On The Role-building Of The Host Of Documentary Programs

Documentary programs are an extremely active program type on TV screens in recent years,in the news programs,feature films,documentaries,almost all of them can see there is documentary.The value of documentary programs lies in the recording of past or existing things,so as to restore and reveal the rich content and value of life itself.The frenzy of innovation set off by the new media has made documentary programs constantly updated.,and in the middle,the role of the host is also changing.Moderator only accurate positioning of their own roles,and create personalized characters,in order to gain firm position in the diverse backgrounds.This article combines the author's graduation work documentary program "Eying's Self-report" and some classic cases to explore the role shaping of the documentary program host.This article consists of five parts.Wherein the first portion is an introduction,which summarizes the research background,current situation,innovations and works overview,etc.The second part sorts out documentary programs and related concepts of the show host.The third part is based on communication and other related theories,analyze the role positioning of the host of documentary programs from three aspects: "dual gatekeeper","agenda setter" and "communication ceremony builder".The fourth part elaborates the requirements for the role shaping of the documentary program host,including internalization requirements and externalization requirements.The internalization requirements include diversified knowledge structure,artistic aesthetic taste and global psychological control.The requirements for externalization follow the classification method of Bi Jiwan in "Cross-Cultural Non-verbal Communication",combined with the theory of symbolic interaction in communication,and divided into linguistic symbolic interaction and non-verbal communication.After the host understands his role positioning and meets the requirements of role modeling,about to enter the practice stage.Therefore,the fifth part combines the theory of "self" and "role" in social performance to analyze how the host of documentary programs realizes the personalized realization of role shaping,including three aspects: mastering the self,regulating the self and showing the self.
