Under the increasingly market competition in software industry,effective software project cost management can accumulate financial resources for software enterprises and improve the competitiveness of their products.The significance of this paper was to find out the problems existing in the company's software project cost management,deeply analyze the problems roots,and put forward the project cost management optimization scheme with practical value,to face the situation of intensified competition of software products and the increasing cost pressure of enterprises.In this paper,we took Y company software project cost management as the object,to research their cost management,using literature research method,historical data analysis method,questionnaire survey method,and interview method.This paper first introduced the existing project organization structure and status of Y company,described the existing problems in their cost management,and analyzed the three primary problems,including the weakness of employee cost,the untimely project monitoring,and the serious overspending of project cost.It put forward a number of measures such as reasonable selection of organization form,formulation of cost management responsibility list,formulation of cost assessment management method,strengthening project management training,etc.,which improves the company's project cost management system and ensures the implementation of cost management process.The new project management information system was proposed to realize the whole process management and improve the efficiency of project monitoring.Referring to the national standard software development cost measurement specification,the budget estimation specification had been formulated according to the actual situation of the company.Using the IFPUG function point to estimate the software scale,the company's cost benchmark data is refined and formulated,which can improve the rationality of schedule by applying the pre cycle table of key activities.Finally,the optimization measures are applied in the firefighting command information project of Y company,which optimized the shortcomings and verified the implementation effect.In this paper,a number of project cost management optimization measures had been put forward,improving project cost management system of Y company.Practice had proved that the new system can effectively control the project cost.Y company is a typical company in the industry software companies under the same scale.The optimization measures proposed in this paper are worthy of reference for other companies.
