Since the noisy channel coding theorem was proposed in 1948,researchers in channel coding have been trying to design a unique channel coding method,which aims to approach the capacity limit of the transmission channel.With the rapid development of channel coding theory,LDPC codes and Turbo codes have become mainstream solutions in the field of channel coding,and are widely used in various communication systems.However,in theory,the channel capacity of these coding methods has not strictly reached the Shannon limit.Polarization code was originally proposed by Erdal Arikan.While possessing low computational complexity,it is also the only channel coding method that can be strictly mathematically proven to reach the Shannon limit in binary discrete memoryless channels.With its excellent performance,the polar code is used in more and more communication scenarios,and was determined as a short code encoding scheme for 5G control channels in 2016.This topic focuses on the application of polar codes in SC-FDE systems,and aims to find a low-complexity polar code scheme suitable for MIMO SC-FDE systems.Firstly,in order to find a suitable polar encoding algorithm,the reaserch of this topic focus on the existing polar code encoding algorithm.Through the theoretical analysis and simulation verification,the Higher Order Polarization Weight Method with optimal parameter settings is determined as the polar code encoding algorithm applied to the MIMO SC-FDE system,and its performance was verified through the simulation.Secondly,in order to find a suitable polar decoding algorithm,the reaserch of this topic focus on the existing polar code decoding algorithm.With the help of existing polar decoding algorithm,an improved adaptive SCL decoding algorithm is proposed as the polar code decoding algorithm applied to the MIMO SC-FDE system,and its performance is verified by simulation.Finally,two different C-language link-level simulation platforms for the MIMO SC-FDE system using polar code scheme and Turbo scheme are established.Through sufficient system link-level simulation,the reliability and feasibility of the polar code scheme determined in this topic is further verified.After sufficient simulation verification,compared with traditional polar code encoding and decoding,the polar code encoding and decoding algorithm determined in this topic,with an excellent performance,can reduce the computational complexity of the polar code encoding and decoding process.When applied to the MIMO SC-FDE system,compared with the use of Turbo codes,the proposed polar code scheme can improve the performance of the whole system.
