With the development of new media,the issue of stars has gradually penetrated into the public life and become an inevitable part of the public discussion." character set " is a kind of dramatic role positioning,and its essence is a symbol.It is the result of highly generalization and abstraction of specific character images,and the star realizes impression manipulation through human image performanceThis study takes the star's " character set " text in the new media as the research object,uses the method of case analysis and text analysis,analyzes the impression management technique shown by the star in the interactive process of "character-set" performance in the new media with the help of the theory of the play.It is found that as an integral part of star image,human design has no distinction between good and evil.On the one hand,the public's pursuit or query of star's " character set " is the result of star's impression management,on the other hand,it also reflects the public's moral requirements for public figures.In the new media environment,the performance of " character set " of stars is a two-way interactive process.Stars realize the construction and communication of " character set " through film and television plays,variety shows and social media.The audience decodes and constructs the " character set " of stars according to their own cultural background and personal characteristics.Different audience groups decode / encode the " character set " of stars Because of the difference of the mode,the communication effect of star " character set " is different.In the process of participating in the star's " character set " performance,the audience will also form different drama classes because of their likes and dislikes for the star and its " character set ".The members of this kind of drama class are not fixed,but will flow with the star's performance.Compared with the era of traditional media,the performance of "character set " of stars in the new media field has also changed.In the era of new media,star's " character set " performance is more prone to performance collapse,commonly known as "go against one's public character-set ".The severity of the consequences caused by the collapse of star's " character set " performance is closely related to the nature of the event that caused the collapse of star's performance,and also related to the star's image restoration strategy.This study is divided into four parts.The first part is mainly the summary and carding ofthe theory of imitating drama and the current research situation of star " character-set ",as well as the definition of related concepts such as " character-set " and "performance".On this basis,the research object is indicated and the research problems are put forward.The second part mainly analyzes the motivation,rationality and characteristics of the star's "character-set" performance in the new media environment.The third part mainly analyzes the way,stage and audience of star " character-set " performance in the new media environment.In the new media era,stars mainly perform dramatization,idealization,maintenance of expression control,manipulation,giving and concealing through film and television works,variety reality show and social media stage.The audience watching the performance is not in a passive position,they will choose to accept the attitude and way of the star's " character-set " text according to their own situation,and intervene and influence the star's "human design" performance through new media means.The fourth part mainly analyzes the phenomenon of " go against one's public character-set " in the Internet,including the causes,consequences,image restoration strategies after the collapse of " character-set ",as well as the inspiration to individual impression management in daily life.This study is based on an objective perspective to look at the phenomenon of "character-set " in new media.It is hoped that the analysis of its impression management technology,interaction process and other contents can help all parties to further understand the problem of " character-set " of stars and stars,treat stars and " character-set " rationally,and also hope to trigger in-depth thinking about the positive and healthy development of star consumption economy.
