Theme History And Social Benefits Of International Museum Day

The International Council of Museums,with nearly a hundred years of history,has collaborated with UNESCO to become one of the most active organizations under the United Nations.Since the establishment of International Museum Day in 1977,as an authoritative organization in the world of museums,ICOM hopes to use the annual event of IMD to promote the relationship between museums and the public.In order for this annual event to be more targeted to the museum,society,and audience,since1992,every museum day will choose a theme closely related to society.The ICOM,which is composed of various national museum associations,and the framework of its three major conferences,have hidden the marks of each member country.When human history enters a new stage of social development,the cultural strategies,social development needs,ideology-related and even political games of various countries have left traces in the IMD.The full text will start from the beginning of the establishment of the ICOM and the development of Museology,starting from the two major backgrounds of the ICOM: UNESCO and the various member states of the ICOM.Analyze the relevance of the change trend of the theme and the transformation of cultural strategies of various countries since the establishment of the theme of the IMD in 1992.Excavate the internal logic of museum day theme history and social influence.
