The history of ships and navigation has almost originated synchronously with human civilization itself.The ancient shipwreck sunk on the Maritime Silk Road route is an important material evidence of the marine cultural heritage and the most vivid material for studying the Maritime Silk Road.Aligning it for protection and development is the focus and difficulty of design research today.The development and use of virtual reality technology in the field of cultural heritage has confirmed its positive effects through many studies,and for the special cultural field of ancient shipwrecks,there is still a lack of more novel and systematic design research.This research aims to achieve a highly immersive and good cultural and educational effect of the roaming experience through the establishment of the "Batu Hitam" virtual roaming system,and provide innovative guidance for the digital development of ancient shipwrecks.Through literature research,sort out the virtual reality in the field of cultural heritage at home and abroad,and find the current problems and valuable design points.According to the cultural value of ancient shipwrecks,the importance and feasibility of using virtual reality technology to develop ancient shipwrecks are analyzed.At the same time,it focuses on the interdisciplinary design thinking of storytelling and serious game,and analyzes and summarizes the typical cases of the existing ancient shipwreck virtual roaming system,and then takes the "Batu Hitam" ancient shipwreck on the Maritime Silk Road in the9 th century AD as the object Expand design practice.The design of the "Batu Hitam" virtual roaming system combines the three-dimensional simulation and photography modeling technology to obtain the historically relevant "Batu Hitam" hull model related utensil models,and creates the historical story of "Batu Hitam" docking on the island and waiting for sailing.From The plot,scene,and character complete the construction of the virtual scene,and use the combination of "historical truth" and "art imagination" to complete the design of the roaming scene.Based on the free scene roaming experience and traditional picture-based interaction,a task-based game with the background of Changsha kiln porcelain knowledge and Tang Dynasty tea-making knowledge was developed.Users can actively participate in the event and effectively complete the game task Acquire knowledge of shipwreck culture and form a good learning experience.This research innovation incorporates participatory storytelling into the system,builds historical stories through participatory narratives,and enhances the empathy ability of users;through scene design combining historical reality and artistic imagination,the art is maximized on the basis of fully respecting historical truth The imagination of the game enriches the immersion and realism of roaming;through the form of serious games,the communication effect of "Batu Hitam" related knowledge is enhanced,so that the virtual roaming can achieve the purpose of education and entertainment.The "Batu Hitam" virtual roaming system confirmed that virtual reality has an active role in the digital development of ancient shipwrecks,and promoted the wider spread of the "Batu Hitam" cultural field.
