Wechat, the rapid rise of social media from 2011,is not a simple communication software, but a new media platform and social communication mode.Wechat has entered our social life, bringing about changes in the way of information acquisition and dissemination, and also changing the form, content and significance of social interaction practice of different groups and individuals.Urban middle-aged people, who live in the city with an average age of 50 years, known as "digital immigrants" a few years ago, have quietly risen, joined the wave of social media use and have freely integrated into it,and successfully turned wechat into a part of their social interaction.Because they are experiencing a unique life stage and have a unique life experience under a variety of status supports, they also present different wechat use preferences and unique social interaction expressions in wechat interaction. This paper uses qualitative research methods, through in-depth interviews and virtual ethnography to "enter" the specific situation of middle-aged individuals using social media,to investigate how the groups in this "new and special" node use wechat for social interaction,By Closely combine their life course and life experience to understand their wechat use and social interaction practice, put their use behavior into a specific life path to consider, try to reveal the interaction between wechat use and social interaction of middle-aged groups through data analysis, and explore the significance of using wechat for middle-aged users and their social media The understanding of body and the expansion and reconstruction of meaning. It is found that the use of wechat by middle-aged people presents a brand-new and unique interaction practice in "intergenerational interaction","interpersonal interaction" and "symbolic interaction".First of all,in the "intergenerational interaction",the authority status of middle-aged people has not disappeared, but has changed from the traditional "educator" to a more concealed "monitor" of wechat. In addition,as a parent, the online interaction between the middle-aged urban group and their children through wechat is more frequent than offline, which provides the possibility for the establishment of intimate relationship and gradually reduces the "generation gap" in Fei Xiaotong's mouth. This group of middle-aged urban group also uses wechat to launch and time their brand-new intergenerational intimate interaction and discourse practice.Secondly,in the "interpersonal interaction" with social members outside the core family, the multiple social roles of middle-aged people make them actively manage their self impression in wechat, such as the actors in the drama and dance stage mountain in Goffman's mouth. The study also found that wechat did not expand the scope of interpersonal interaction of middle-aged groups, but helped them maintain and strengthen their internal relations, and let them trust the repeatedly "solidified" and "simplified" interpersonal relations brought by traditional kinship and geographical relations. At the same time, the dependence of middle-aged people on wechat group enables them to perform more diversified and vivid "performances" on the "stage" of wechat group when they have interpersonal interaction. Finally, according to the preference and heterogeneity of middle-aged people's use of wechat, their expression and interaction with intergenerational aesthetics are completed through "symbol" communication on wechat. They set up a diversified symbolic discourse system based on their unique images and links, thus realizing interactive communication.
