Discourse analysis research is an important research direction in the field of communication.The research methods of discourse analysis have always been favored by communication scholars who study traditional media.Especially in the research of newspapers and periodicals,communication scholars can apply interdisciplinary thinking to discourse analysis,which brings a lot of new inspiration to the research of traditional media.This paper will cut into the perspective of discourse research,taking the magazine "Life·Creation" of Fujian province as the representative of local workers' magazines,reviewing its historical evolution,grasping its functional orientation,and mainly drawing on Van Dick's discourse analysis theory to study its text.Through the study,the author finds that the magazine "Life·Creation" has very obvious characteristics of the workers' discourse.Through the further analysis of the causes of the formation of workers' discourse,and the social practical function of the workers' discourse,from which we can feel the threshold of the discourse of the workers' magazines.In addition,this paper considers the survival dilemma of "Life·Creation" as a traditional paper media in the new media era,affirms its efforts to adapt to the new media environment,and points out the shortcomings in it.Combined with the advantages of the magazine itself,the paper provides some feasible suggestions for future development of the magazine.
