Since target tracking technology emerged in the middle of the last century and has developed for several decades,it has become an indispensable key technology in the radar field.At present,the battlefield environment and air conditions are becoming more and more complex to bring excellent challenge into the existing technology.More theoretical research work is needed to further develop because it is particularly difficult to track and process the remaining clutter,multiple targets and sorties,maneuvers and cross flights,drone targets and weak targets.In order to improve the performance of radar target tracking in the complex background,we study the target tracking algorithm of the conventional radar from the traditional radar target tracking algorithm aiming at the practical problems,and carry out engineering practice successfully.This thesis mainly involves the following aspects:First,the traditional radar data processing and target tracking models are discussed.The track initiation technology including several commonly used track initiation algorithms is studied.Meanwhile,for the clutter remaining problem in the complex background,a track initiation algorithm based on multi-dimensional measurement information is proposed to improve the accuracy of track initiation and reduce the false track by augmenting the amplitude and Doppler two-dimensional constraints where the measurement information including Doppler,distance,amplitude,azimuth is known.Secondly,the tracking filtering algorithm was discussed,and its basic principles,performance pros and cons,and application scope were studied.Since the target RCS is constantly fluctuating during the actual operation of the radar,the existing tracking filtering algorithm does not consider the impact of this problem on the statistical information of the observed noise resulting in tracking performance loss in practical application.Regarding this problem,this thesis proposes a tracking filtering method based on amplitude information and applies it to ?-? filtering,Kalman filtering,interactive multiple model algorithms and other algorithms to improve the accuracy of state estimation.It has been verified by simulation that the propose method can improve the performance of tracking filtering algorithm.Then,we introduce some common data association algorithms,such as nearest neighbor method,probabilistic data association and joint probabilistic data association,and performs performance analysis and simulation verification for complex backgrounds suchas multi-target tracking,clutter environment.Finally,based on the different project background and combined with the principle of radar target tracking algorithm in the complex background,two real-time processing terminal for radar target tracking and display are completed.The terminal can realize the functions of signal processing including track information,track information storage and playback except for real-time track display,real-time target tracking track processing display.The results show that the two terminals have good target tracking performance in different complex backgrounds.
