Research On Guangxi Minority TV News From The Perspective Of "performativeness"

Erving Goffman's "dramaturgical theory" quoted theatrical terminology to analyze the role performance of individuals or groups in the interactions with others.The purpose is to present to others the ideal image that individuals or groups expect,and consider"performativity" is common in social interactions with humans.The production and broadcasting of TV news is also the result of the interaction of different characters with a common goal,and at the same time,the specific media image is presented to the audience,so TV news also has the characteristic of "performativity".For a long time,in TV news on ethnic minorities,there is a lack of new ideas in theme selection,the news tend to be homogeneous,and the images of characters seemed to be stereotypical.Today,with the depression of traditional media,TV media audience acceptance and media credibility have also declined.A crisis has already occurred.This article will analyze the TV news of ethnic minority in Guangxi,based on "performativity" theory,summarize the problems existing in the TV news of ethnic minority in Guangxi,and go deep into the practice of news reporting to explore the deficiencies in the news production process.Visited the interviewees of the TV news of ethnic minority in Guangxi,listened to their attitudes and opinions on the news reports,and tried to comprehensively discuss the "performativity" problems in the TV news of ethnic minority in Guangxi from different angles.Then try finding solutions to construct the colorful and positive media image of Guangxi ethnic minority in the new era.First,begin with the media contents,through the analysis of the status,the analysis of the framework,the analysis of the news text,and the analysis of the content of the news images,It is found that there are problems such as the homogeneity of the subject matter,the one-sided construction of Ethnic minorities'media images,and the improper use of performance methods.Second,news reporting can be regarded as a kind of social performance behavior in the professional field,so the thesis taked social performance as the theoretical guidance,from the angle of the media,the production process of the TV news of ethnic minority in Guangxi was investigated.It is clear that news reporting is a professional performance of journalists,and journalists are the leading roles in news reporting.Journalists can intervene in front and backstage performances by operating cameras.At the same time,it is found that when reporting on the ethnic minorities,the media have an over-reliance on the stereotyped script.Last,through direct contact with the interviewees,we can further explore the causes of performance problems from different angles,and understand the motivations and demands of ethnic minority people for participating in TV news reporting activities.The role of the middleman was introduced in the drama class,and the positive and negative effects brought by the middleman were analyzed.It was also found that the reported subjects generally lacked the willingness to actively contact the media,and part of the media demands of the ordinary minority people were ignored.Generally,TV news of ethnic minority in Guangxi has constructed a positive media image of Guangxi ethnic minority to some extent,but there are also some problems such as one-sided and single image.In the process of news production,we should pay attention to the scale,make good use of skills,and listen to the voice of the minority,so as to reflect the minority groups more objectively and truly in the news report.
