Emerging as the times full of leftover men and women require, the dating program "If You Are the One" adapts to the modern pace of life, providing public dating platforms for single men and women with fine program producing, new dating pattern and hot and sensitive topics, has attracted broad attention from audiences and netizens. Some people are watching the program on TV or internet; some people are discussing topics and guests in the program face to face or on internet; some people want to register or recommend others to the program. People of different age, social status and occupation all have strong interest in "If You Are the One", the program owns a wide range of audiences and even affect the overseas. Meanwhile, those values, moralities and thoughts that deviate from the popular culture communicated through the discussion of marriage and other social topics in the program have caught huge social effects.With the development of network technology and digital technology, information can be widely transmitted in the form of text, image, audio and video, which also making TV media's information production forms and communication channels diversified. Under the network technology of WEB2.0, the interaction of network has been strengthened and to some extent, audiences and publishers of information have been integrated, which meaning network interaction will become increasingly important in the development of TV media. So is there any relation between internet media and the huge social effects of the TV dating show "If You Are the One" and how big will the relation be?This thesis has taken "If You Are the One" as an example and specialized in network media's impact on its social effects. First of all, through studying the internet communication channels of "If You Are the One", the thesis has analyzed the spread of the program on the internet, such as official website; network TV, internet videos, weibo and Baidu Post Bar. Next it has combined "media theory","effects theory","gatekeeper theory" and other Communication theories to deeply explore the impact of internet media on social effects of "If You Are the One" and explain why internet media makes impact from both positive and negative sides. Finally the research result has demonstrated though TV media is the main media for transmitting the program, without internet media, the TV dating program wouldn't have brought about so persistent, broad and stirs social effects.
