Since Internet media entered into China's market in the1990s, great development of it has been achieved relying on its own advantages. Internet media makes it more convenient and swift for people to access information which is more plentiful than before. In addition, Internet media serves as a platform for netizens to communicate with the government and becomes an important part of guiding public opinions. Compared with the traditional media, internet media has the advantages such as the region of the audiences to it is vast, the spreading ways of it are flexible and various, the information it spreads is enormous and effective in short time, the spreading subject and object are anonymous and interactive with each other. Internet media bears the responsibility of guiding public opinions, supervising public opinions, disseminating information, inheriting culture and so on.At present, the overall situation that the internet medias implement their social responsibilities is in good condition, making great contributions to the development of economy and prosperity of culture in China. However, there exist the problems:the responsibilities of guiding the public opinion, educating the audiences and serving the economy are not fully implemented and the implement of the entertaining responsibility is lack of standardization. All of these problems lead to the loss of internet media's social responsibilities and generate certain negative influences on the society. The reasons why internet media's social responsibilities are lost include:the information circumstance is in the condition that positive and negative information is intermingled, there exists cutthroat competitions among internet medias, the legislation about the internet media is far from perfect, there exists leaks in the management of the internet, the automatic rhythmicity inside the industry is in bad condition, and the practitioners of high and low quality are intermingled. Taking these reasons into consideration, we should create a conducive developmental environment for internet media, strengthen the construction of the internet medias themselves and their automatic rhythmicity, set up and amplify the relative laws and institutions in order to improve the conditions of internet media implementing their social responsibilities.
