The 2021 edition of the "Guidance on the subject of ideology and politics in general high schools" emphasizes the need to promote reform and innovation in the talent training model in terms of ways and means.Project-based teaching is an attempt to reform and innovate the talent cultivation mode of high school ideology and politics class.As a teaching method,project-based teaching takes projects as the carrier and problem inquiry as the driving force,emphasizing students’ brainstorming and problem solving in practical inquiry,with a view to enhancing the attractiveness of classroom teaching and the teaching effect of high school ideology and politics classes.This thesis takes high school "Politics and Rule of Law" class as an example,and combines its own internship experience with classroom observation and questionnaires to study the specific application of project-based teaching,which has a multidimensional and positive impact on the teaching effect of high school Politics and Rule of Law class.The main text consists of the following three main sections.In the first part,the basic issues of applying project-based teaching in high school "Politics and Rule of Law" class are outlined.We summarize the connotation and characteristics of project-based teaching,and clarify the process of project-based teaching,i.e.,"project theme selection-project plan design-project investigation and implementation-project result presentation and evaluation",which is the logical idea of this study.The application of project-based teaching in high school "Politics and Rule of Law" class is conducive to helping students link knowledge learning and thinking practice,promoting the joint growth and progress of teachers and students,and realizing the improvement of teaching effectiveness of high school "Politics and Rule of Law" class.In the second part,the problems and reasons of applying project-based teaching in high school "Politics and Rule of Law" class.There are four major problems in the application of project-based teaching in high school "Politics and Rule of Law" class: the selection of project topics is not targeted enough,the design of project problems lacks drive,the implementation of project inquiry is formal,and the evaluation of project results is not in place.The main reasons for this are the teachers’ lack of in-depth understanding of projectbased teaching,the teachers’ lack of experience in implementing project-based teaching,the inertial consequences of "utilitarian education" and the imperfect evaluation system of project results presentation.The third part,countermeasures for applying project-based teaching in high school "Politics and Rule of Law" class.The specific implementation countermeasures to solve the problem are proposed from four aspects: selecting the project theme with the principle of "three closeness",designing the project plan rationally,implementing the project investigation comprehensively and improving the supporting evaluation criteria,so as to give better play to the teaching effect of project chemistry and improve the effectiveness of teaching "Politics and Rule of Law" in high school.
