| The development of thinking is crucial for the language learning and even future development of junior high school students.With its outstanding characteristics such as integrity,comparativeness and comprehensiveness,unit teaching has the unique advantage of improving students’ thinking.It not only has a systematic unit knowledge system,but also has a close relationship between the internal texts of the unit,which is convenient for students to carry out comparative reading and grasp the content of the unit as a whole.It can be seen that unit teaching is conducive to cultivating students’ thinking ability and improving students’ thinking level.Thinking ability is closely related to language learning.Thinking ability is the driving force behind students’ learning and development,and it is the key to improving learning efficiency.Unit teaching from the perspective of thinking development and improvement is conducive to implementing the basic requirements of language literacy,improving teachers’ awareness of unit teaching,and developing students’ thinking quality.The relevant theories in educational psychology provide theoretical support for promoting the development of thinking: constructivism and learning transfer theory emphasize the active construction process with students as the main body,and then use the knowledge and experience learned to learn new tasks and achieve knowledge transfer.In addition,there is also a certain scientific basis for improving the development of thinking in unit teaching,mainly including the requirements of core language literacy;the requirements of curriculum standards;the requirements of language teaching materials compiled by the ministry;and the requirements of students’ thinking development characteristics.According to the results of student questionnaires and teacher interviews,there are many problems in unit teaching from the current thinking perspective,that is,the introduction is vague and lacks holistic thinking;teaching reading is shallow and lacks image thinking;training is single,lack of comparative thinking;content is ambiguous and lacks logical thinking.In order to solve the above problems,the article proposes effective unit teaching strategies based on the third unit of the eighth grade volume of the ministry as an example: using unit guide reading to enhance students’ overall thinking;using classical reading to develop students’ image thinking;carrying out comparative reading to enhance students’ comparative thinking;and constructing a unit framework to develop students’ logical thinking.Through relevant research,it can be found that if the advantages of unit teaching can be fully utilized in practical teaching,it will have a positive effect and far-reaching impact on the development and improvement of students’ thinking. |
