With the development of information technology and the popularization of online learning,learners have more means to study,and blended learning has also become one of the research hotspots.Blended learning is more flexible than traditional offline learning in terms of learning space,time and learning content,and has better face-to-face communication and supervision effects than pure online learning.These features,if realized,will help and make life science learning in high school more personal and efficient.However,there are few studies on the application of the blended learning model in high school life science teaching,so the key question of this research is: Is the blended learning model suitable for the learning of high school life science course? What are the benefits of blended learning mode compared with traditional learning mode in high school life science teaching? What are the attitudes of students towards the application of blended learning models in high school life science studies?This research mainly includes theoretical exploration of blended learning,exploration of blended learning model applied in high school life science teaching,teaching practice research and result analysis.This study firstly illustrates the characteristics of blended learning and the significance of its application in high school life science teaching through the relevant theories of blended learning.Secondly,through the analysis of the existing blended learning model,a blended learning model suitable for high school life sciences is formulated and improved according to the three stages of pre-class,in-class and after-class,and each class hour is taken as a unit according to the model.Instructional design and learning evaluation design were conducted.Finally,the author conducted an one-semester teaching experiment with a class of 36 students in the second grade of an ordinary high school in Shanghai.And from three aspects of life science academic performance changes,questionnaire data analysis and interview results.Experimental results demonstrate that the blended learning model can improve students' academic performance in life sciences.Through data analysis of the questionnaire survey and the analysis of the interview results,it is found that the blended learning model is more suitable for high school life science teaching and is loved and recognized by the students.
