In the "teacher-centered" education style, learners are treated as the receiver of knowledge. That kind of educational method ignore the learners'enthusiasm and initiative and it is not easy to achieve teaching results well. Since 1990s, many researchers have concerned a new approach called e-learning in the whole country as the development of computers and the internet. Then innovation happens in the education area, such as the "student-centered" theories and practices. But in this innovation, educators have soon found that this kind of learning style go to the other extreme-ignoring the teacher's leading role and leaving completely independent of learners. Then blended learning was proposed, which blended learning can combine the classroom learning and online learning together. People hope this kind of learning style can not only emphasize the dominant position of teachers but also emphasize the learner's dominant position in order to achieve better learning outcomes.The thesis is based on the "Learning Sciences & Learning Technologies" course in the educational virtual community. The learners'studying process is the practice combined with face to face teaching, collaborative learning and independent study. The learners can study in the classroom and on the line relying on the educational virtual community. First, the situations of blended learning at home and abroad are analyzed in the thesis. The analysis about educational virtual community's function demonstrates that it can support carrying on the blended learning. Second, learning modes in the educational virtual community are designed based on the course of Learning Sciences & Learning Technologies and some other references. Third, put the mode into practice. And then, learning outcomes and their impact factors were investigated. And results of the survey were analyzed to facilitate the learning activities in the future to achieve better results. Finally, the results and prospects of this study are summarized at the end of the thesis.This research adopts action research method and the researcher gets involved in the learning process to observe the learning activities and do real-time interviews. So first-hand information on learning activities can be got. After the questionnaires and interviews, we analyze the feedback data. Those data can tell us both the teacher's and the students'pro-activity has been inspired by blended learning and the learners achieve the desired learning objectives in the virtual community well.
